Brent L Smith is Multifaceted Creative Director, Choreographer, Dancer and Actor originally from Magnolia Springs, Texas. He is currently working as a professional Choreographer and Movement Director for the TV/Film industry. He cultivated his professional career in Atlanta, GA and Houston, TX. 

Brent's work as the creative director for his company Groundwork in Houston really set him up as a creative. He worked with hundreds of dancers and creatives in the Houston and Atlanta areas providing opportunities for them to gain paid employment and excel in the arts.

He graduated from Kirbyville High School in Kirbyville, Texas. Brent started his creative journey as a dancer at a young age and explored it all the way to adulthood. After high school he journeyed to Atlanta, Georgia where his dance career began to takeoff spending seven years in the element as a dancer and Choreographer professionally there.

He moved to Houston, Texas in 2013 where he lived there for 10 years creative director and choreographing his own company Groundwork along with many local dance studios, High Schools and dance companies. In 2023 Brent moved back to Atlanta Georgia and became a movement director for TV and film and has made many strides In the industry sense.  His experience spanning live musicals, concerts, music videos, television, film, and commercial work. Known for emotionally driven, narrative-focused movement that enhances storytelling across stage and screen. Brent has a eye for brining cinematic moments on stage and screen.
